Gender-Female Age 23

i am suffering from epilepsy since long time. 1st seizure occurrence 2012 neglecting that ..and again reoccur 2013. i checked up in hospital. and started phenobarbitone from 2013 to 2016. The seizure have seen sometime, 1 time in month.again i checked up in January 2017 to another hospital and doctor gave me oxcarbazepine 300mg,BD. but still had absent seizure then again doctor increase dose now oxcarbazepine 600mg,BD. but still feel absent seizure one time.plz doctor help me. i want heal and i want live healthy life again ..plz give me ayurvedic medicine and suggest me yoga so i can heal....its my last hope.

Doctor's Ayurvedic Advice:-

Hello, Epilepsy refers to medical condition when the sudden and excessive electric discharge in cerebral neurons leads to transient loss of consciousness in an abrupt fashion. Ayurveda correlates it Apasmara where transient phase is called Akshepaka caused by tridosha imbalance. Ayurvedic medicines recommended for 6 months are as follows and then review with fresh EEG- 1.Panchgavya ghrita- one tablespoon empty stomach in morning with luke warm water 2.Bhrahmi ghrit- one tablespoon in morning after breakfast followed by luke warm water 3.Samritisagar ras- 250 mg with luke warm water after meals twice a day. 4.Saraswataristha 30ml in equal amount of water twice a day after meals. 5.Mix vacha churan, jatamansi churan and pipparamoola churan in equal amount and take one tablespoon of mixture thrice a day with luke warm water after meals. Panchkarma procedures named shirodhara with ashwagandha oil and shirolepa should be done under the supervision of ayurvedic physician to calm down the neural avtivity. Pranayam like bhastrika, bhrahmri and anulom vilom should be practiced daily. -Add omega 3 rich foods in diet like soyabean, flax seeds, walnuts and sprouts. Vit E enriched foods like spinach, pumpkin, sunflower seeds, mustard, peanuts should be taken.

My son 13 yrs old is diagnosed with epilepsy an year ago. He is currently taking Levtam 250 & 500 mg which has cured him of seizures (major) but he still gets mild seizures in sleep 3 to 4 times. Expert's Advice (Dr.Ramani):- Nocturnal epilepsy is the occurrence of seizures during sleep. It may happen soon after starting to sleep, before waking or due to arousal. Currently i am taking medicine 100MG limatical every day . I am always scared to leave the medicine because of anxiety also .
