How do I cure my frequent Gout flareups? this question feed

proffie, 30 September 2012 5:45

Hi, I am 39 yrs old and weigh 90 kgs. Since the past 5 years I have been suffering from gout. Initially, the flareups would occur every 6 months of so. Recently, the flareups have been every couple of months prompting me to use Allopurinol to contain the flareups. I am vegetarian and I don't drink alcohol. Is there a medicine I can take for gout? How long should I take?

Doctor's Ayurvedic Advice:-

Dear Praful ji

Greetings from MyYog.com

Well ae per your problem what i could suggest you that even if you consume tomato or curd or protein rich food like dal too in your regular diet then it will increase the uric acid and your problem will increase. In gout the uric acid crystals get deposited in small joints and cause severe pain along with swelling and redness over that region. Thus you have to keep an eye on these food articles.

Ayurveda says - GUDUCHI( tinospora cordifolia) is the best medicine for gout. So you can take this in the form of tablets ( one tab. twice a dy with warm water) or in form of powder.

Also Divya pharmacy had made a very good package Divya jointpain,Gout,Knee pain ayurvedic medicine. this had also very good results without any side effects. So you can try this also.
