Hello, I am 41 years female (married & no children) from Australia. I would like to try natural medicines for my fibroids in uterus. I have multiple fibroids. One is anterior right fibroid measuring 3.8x3.1x3.4cm (20ml volume)and another one posterior right subserosal fibroid measuring 2.6x2.2x2.5cm (7.5ml voulme). This is from a year ago report. On my report, it says possible of uterine polyp. During my examination, they could not examine my right ovary because of fibroids & faecally loaded bowel in the right pelvis. I do not have regular bowel movement & usually every alternate days. I feel bloating & look like 5 months pregnant. I think its because of fibroids. I have a plan to have children. I am not on medication. I do yoga everyday. My blood pressure & urine tests are normal. I didn't have any past surgeries. My sister had cysts in ovary & she did surgery. Sleep, appetite are normal & no diabetes. I am non veg. My periods are very regular and bleeding is normal. I did "Anti Mullerian Harmone" test & shows still very good. I do get cramps during periods. Can you help on this matter please? Your suggestion will be appreciated

Fibroids are muscular growths in the uterus which commonly occurs in the child bearing age. If the overall size is less than 5cms it will respond well. The cause of fibroids is not very clear but is generally linked to genetic influence and the changes in the harmone levels of estrogen and progesterone. They cause a increase in size of the abdomen and due to the pressure on the intestines and bladder it may cause constipation and then eventually bloating. You can also consult your gynecologist to know about the location or size after taking these medicines for 3months. It should be reviewed again after another 3months and then decided about proceeding it. Your age is a concern as after 35years the quality of the eggs may start to diminish generally, but when you take proper medicines without delay it will help.

Medicines like Divya Kumaryasava, Divya Kanchanara guggulu, Pushyanuga churnam for fibroids. Take Hingwashtak churnam and Triphala Churnam for a month which will relieve the constipation and bloating.

You can apply warm castor oil around the abdomen for 20min with clockwise movements and then sit in the warmtub bath for 10min which will help to relieve the bloating, constipation and also to reduce the size of the fibroids. Try to include more vegetables and fruits like figs, prunes, raisins, yam, buttermilk which will help to relieve constipation. Include complex carbohydrates and fiber as they help to excrete excess oestrogen and also constipation.Reduce oestrogen foods like broccoli, meat, mustard greens, soya. Include sesame seeds, pine apple, horse gram, pappaya during or just before periods, try to take it after the periods. Avoid excess oil, sugar, fatty foods and salt. Yogasanas like Sarvangasana, ViparitaKarani, Baddhakonasana, Marichyasana, Trikonasana, Dhanurasana which has bending postures that stimulate the uterus. Pranayamam like anuloma, viloma, ujjayi, kapalabhati are beneficial. These helps to tone the uterus, relieve the digestive complaints, reduce the size of fibroids, increase the fertility rate by increasing the quality of the eggs.
