Doctor's Ayurvedic Advice:-

Hello,

Usually, arthritis do occur due to reduced space in between joints and due to wear and tear of ligaments and mensci of joints. This may happen due to reduced synovial fluid which is due to lack of nutrition.

There are other reasons or causes for osteoarthritis. Organic causes like any kind of infections. Any kind of traumas. Hereditary causes also a reason. If the condition is severe, one has to undergo surgery if indicated.

In order to maintain joint strengths, there are alternative therapies like ayurveda, siddha medicines, and other medicines along with yoga and meditation.

You need to avoid hot and spicy foods, along with oily foods, and avoid foods like cabbage, cauliflower, okra, potatoes etc to be avoided and try to consume less quantity of Coffee, tea, sugar, yoghurt etc. Consume Fruit Juices, homemade soups, green salads and cooked vegetables like pumpkin and squash etc. There are certain herbs and spices like cumin, ginger, fennel, asafetida, coriander, fennel, turmeric, garlic etc are useful. Regular intake of orange juice or other vitamin C based beverages can be consumed in moderate quantities.

You can practice Yoga and pranayama: Utthita parsvakonasana, Supta padangusthasana, Ardha chandrasana, Bharadvajasana, Savasana, Sarvangasana, Setubandha etc can be perfomed under supervision if you are beginner.

Suggested medicines: Joint Pain Medicine Package, Shuddha Guggulu can be consumed internally. For external application you can apply maharnarayana thailam.
